Breeding Program

Last Frontier Farm’s breeding program is run in conjunction with Wit’s End Eventing, loyal owners of Rafferty’s Rules and Royal Alyance. Specilalizing in breeding and young horse handling, Adrienne Classen and Dale Hinman do a wonderful job handling our mares and babies and give them excellent experience in hand before sending them to Last Frontier Farm to be started, as well as being our go-to pedigree and statistics experts! We couldn’t do it without them!

Visit Wits End Eventing for additional information about our breeding program.

Ready About (Pippy)

1991-2006 | 15.3h Grey Thoroughbred Mare | Owner: Last Frontier Farm

Pippy will always hold a special place at Last Frontier Farm. She completed 8 three-day events including The Rolex Kentucky CCI4* in 2002 and the Fair Hill International CCI3* in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Since she stood at only 15.3 this was quite an accomplishment, but what she lacked in height she made up for in heart. Pippy loved to jump and was always ready for the cross-country fences. Pippy was the first mare in Last Frontier Farm’s breeding program. In April 2004, Pippy’s first foal was born, a grey filly by Aaron’s Gold. She was named Inspiration as suggested by Carol, Sharon’s mom and partner.

Offspring

  • 2012 colt by Future Illusion, “Midnight Illusion”. Though Future Illusion is a young stallion, his first four foal crops have been winning in the British Eventing Futurity classes, so we are very excited!

Inspiration (Bounce)

2004 | Grey Thoroughbred Mare | Owner: Last Frontier Farm

A lovely mare by Aaron’s Gold, “Bounce” was named Inspiration as suggested by Carol, Sharon’s mom and partner. Bounce competed successfully through the Training level before becoming a broodmare after her mom, Pippy, passed away. As the daughter of Sharon’s first four-star horse, we are excited to see what Bounce can produce!
